4.0 out of 5 stars

  • Great trolling motor, MinnKota Powerdrive 54 V2 Pontoon Boat Trolling Motor with Quick Release Bracket(54-lbs Thrust, 48″ Shaft)
  • The trolling motor works great so far. The only complaint I have with it is that after mounting it on the deck of my pontoon boat it is hard to get it off its cradle. The quick release is a really neat idea and makes it easy to take the motor off and on the boat.

  • MinnKota Powerdrive 54 V2 Pontoon Boat Trolling Motor with Quick Release Bracket(54-lbs Thrust, 48″ Shaft)
  • I put this I put this trolling motor on my pontoon and its work great. I have been doing a lot of fishing and it gets me to where I want to go. It’s easy to lower and raise. I like how you can turn the speed up and down and the always on or only on when you push down on it controls.

Correct Model Choice

With the large choice of models Minn Kota has on offer it is very important to choose the correct model for your situation. The average conditions you encounter on the water, the size of your boat, whether you need it for leisure or tournament fishing and also the number of batteries you can manage  are points to consider to help make the correct decision. Remember for 12 volts  it’s one battery,  for 24 volts  it’s two batteries and for 36 volts  you will need three batteries.

Having a pontoon motor with the Digital Maximizer can help you extend your time on the water x5.
